Last night I attended the Web Innovators Group meeting in Cambridge. The winning demonstrating company (of 3 for the evening) was good2gether.

Greg McHale is a very good presenter and their business seems pretty rock solid. They are addressing two fairly pressing needs - increasing visibility of local nonprofits through local news portals (such as Boston.com) and providing a way for the portals to generate incremental advertising revenue. All in all a pretty good offering and I expect that they will do well.
The business here at Givvy is focused on a different constituency and need - the donor and how they manage the process of giving. We also will give visibility to charities through our system, but through a more social context than what good2gether are doing. It will be interesting to see how both of our businesses evolve as we hit the market.
Nice job to Greg and the team at Virosity who built the good2gether site!
