As I get ready for my family summer vacation I thought it would be nice to leave you all with a very inspiring speech from Rand Pausch, the professor who’s “last lecture” has had millions of views on YouTube and resulted in a best-selling book. Professor Pausch died on July 25th at age 47.
Professor Pausch made a surprise appearance at the Carnegie-Mellion 2008 Graduation on May 19th to give his final last speech. It’s the things we don’t do that cause us regret at the end, not the dumb things we did do. To steal from Nike – “Just do it” is a good philosophy for life.
Go out and volunteer, or up your giving commitment, or find some cause you can get behind to help the world be a better place – don’t wait! You’ll love yourself more at the end, and you’ll be more loved.
Watch Professor Rauch’s last last speech. Now go out and do it….
